Jacob Long

Jake is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. He started his CrossFit career in 2012 as an athlete at CrossFit Roots in Boulder, Colorado, while attending CU Boulder. CrossFit quickly became his passion, and remains one to this day.

Jake grew up with parents who ran marathons, so exercise has always been a significant aspect of his life. He wrestled in high school, but switched over to running just before college.

He has run in four consecutive Boston Marathons, the New York Marathon, and completed his first half Ironman in the summer of 2017.

Jake recently completed his Culinary Arts Certificate at the International Culinary Center in SoHo.

Jake wants to share his passion for exercise, cooking and eating in the hope of encouraging others to live the best life possible. Jake hopes to help everyone from first-time CrossFitters to well-seasoned athletes reach their goals. CrossFit helped sculpt Jake’s athletic accomplishments, and continues to help him maintain a healthy way of life. He hopes to help others do the same.
