Dana Merson was a gymnast growing up in New Jersey.
She acted, sang and danced while studying musical theatre at the University of Rhode Island and Circle in the Square.
Then she discovered Pilates. She saw what it did for a healthy body and mind, and she was hooked.
Dana is certified in Romana Pilates and studied with Sari Mejia Santo, Jerome Weinberg, Cynthia Shipley and Jamie Trout at True Pilates in New York.
She has taught Pilates around the city, from Uptown Pilates on Madison to Equinox Brookfield Place.
Dana has created and designs CFER’s very own “Length and Strength” class.
Length and Strength is a combination of strength training, mobility and endurance. It will incorporate aspects of CrossFit, Rowing, Gymnastics and Pilates to give you an effective workout and great experience. We will find ways to lengthen muscle while strengthening our core and deeper muscles, and build up our stamina with rowing and powerful explosive movements that get our heart rate up.
